Join the Coastal Bend College Foundation for the launch of the Coastal Bend College Comedy Series at the Gertrude R. Jones Auditorium on the college's Beeville campus. Nationally-known comedian and social media star Brad Upton brings his unique brand of comedy to Beeville for the inaugural event. Upton has been part of the stand-up comedy world since the late 80s and burst into the national consciousness in 2018 with his hilarious rebuke of millennials, a video that has been viewed nearly 100 million times across social media platforms. The video, a clip from Upton's first comedy special, received more than 12 million views in the first 48 hours after it was released in the summer of 2018 and Upton's CD reached the No. 1 spot on the iTunes comedy chart. Upton continues touring the country and is a regular guest at the Grand Ole Opry. He's been the opening act for the past 15 years for the legendary Johnny Mathis. He has also been seen in concert with The Smothers Brothers, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Glen Campbell, Little Big Town, Smokey Robinson, Pam Tillis, Joe Diffie, Lewis Black, Jeff Foxworthy, Neal McCoy and others.
